Clouds reflected in a stream

What does a typical session involve? A session normally starts with a 5-10 minute check-in to discuss the issues you would like to focus on and explore progress made if there have been previous sessions. Then we briefly set our intentions for the session together. I then use muscle testing by proxy with your permission to ask questions of the body and subconscious. This process identifies trapped emotions and energetic imbalances in the body that are subsequently released following the approach in the Body CodeTM and Emotion Code® methods. Heart-wall clearing uses a similar approach but focuses on specific emotions that we may have armoured our heart with. The Belief Code® uses a slightly different approach to identify and clear limiting subconscious belief systems and associated imbalances.

How might I feel during and after a session? The method is very gentle and typically people may feel a sense of wellbeing during the session. With the release of emotional energy some clients find they yawn or experience other autonomic nervous system responses as the body relaxes and adjusts. Immediately after the session you might feel lighter but also tired. However, this tiredness is usually short-lived. It might be helpful to plan to be able to have some quiet time immediately afterwards. Sleep is often deep the first night after a session. The following day or two might give rise to some mild symptoms and echoes of the emotions released. Normally after two days there will be a subtle, general sense of well-being and increased awareness of what had been only subconscious before.

What is the best way to prepare for a session? There isn’t much to do in terms of preparation. It can be useful to reflect on the issues you would like to focus on and if you have already had a session to the think about what has changed since the last one. It is helpful to be reasonably well hydrated. It is also useful to find a time and place where you are unlikely to be interrupted frequently during the call so that you are able to focus on the process. You will likely get the most out of it if you don’t the distraction of messages, TV or other background noise during the session.

Do the methods work with inherited emotions? Yes, sometimes we can inherit trapped emotions from our ancestors. Science is still learning about the mechanisms and specifics of epigenetic transmission, but we understand that information can be passed between generations and the concept of intergenerational trauma is well established. One way of thinking about this is that we can pass on survival information to our offspring in the form of emotions around particular circumstances that promote a particular response. However, sometimes that survival response can be unhelpful to future generations living in a different environment.

By identifying and, where appropriate, releasing those unconscious trapped emotions we can bring automatic responses into awareness and free ourselves to make informed choices. There is also a sense of liberation that comes from realising that we are operating in the context of information from our ancestors encoded in our physiology, the vast majority of which supports us. Freeing inherited emotions can also clear the way for improved communications and dynamics within families, as well as helping us to understand and have compassion for our ancestor’s stories.

Do you work with animals as well as people? Yes, these methods work really well with animals, with the owner’s permission of course. It can be really insightful to see what comes up and often releasing trapped emotions and addressing energetic imbalances results in remarkable shifts. It is not a substitute for veterinary care but can work well alongside it as well as helping to explore and address behavioural issues. Work with animals can be done online or offline but it is important to agree a time for the work when you can observe them and when they will have time to rest afterwards.

Do you charge different rates for the Emotion Code / Heart-Wall clearance / Body Code / Belief Code sessions? I normally recommend a 45 min session for which I charge £45 if we are working to focus on one of more issues. Within that I will use whichever methods the body brings up, starting with the Body Code. That might take the session into more work on Emotions, including Heart-wall emotions or into beliefs where the Belief Code becomes the relevant tool. However, some clients may want to focus on a particular method. I offer 45 min sessions for the Emotion Code and Body Code, shorter 30 min sessions for Heart-wall clearing (it might typically take three sessions in total for this work) or longer 55 min sessions to work more deeply with the Belief Code. In general though, the Body Code is a good place to start in a 45 min session, as it covers all of the others. I am always happy to discuss the best way to work together during an initial consultation session or by email if you have specific preferences.

Are there particular issues that you specialise in? The methods work well for all kinds of physical, emotional and spiritual issues for people and animals, and I enjoy working with whatever arises. I have experience and interest in working with the following issues:

  • Grief and loss of all kinds, including childhood bereavement, sibling loss, parental loss, complicated grief, absent grief and stuck grief
  • Emotional impact of, and underlying issues around, long term illness, including autoimmune conditions, diabetes, fibromyalgia, thyroid problems, endocrine issues, eye health and vision problems
  • Traumatic experiences, including from acute medical care and resuscitation, CPR, sedation and surgery
  • Abandonment, betrayal, separation, boundaries and personal empowerment
  • Neurodivergence, accessing the felt sense in the body, alexithymia and enhanced spirit-mind-body connection
  • Ancestral healing and inherited emotions, particularly in relation to family dynamics
